Default Head install maybe an easier way?

Ok this is my second time doing this and I think I have found a easier way. For anyone who has put a head on I realy sucks to get the stupid intakemainfold bolts in and its even harder to tork them. What if i installed the intake manifold on the head before I bolt it to the block? I have headstuds so it pretty much lines itself up. Any input??

I think the effort required to disconnect and reconnect everthing on the IM, out weights it.

I have done a few and I use a 1/4 drive with a long extension and a swivel socket. It is starting them that is a PIA. For that I use a magnet. Works great.

How would you tork. Are you pulling off you tensioner pulley bracket to access the bolts for the IM or are you goin from the side?

Sometimes, you just can't torque things. I think they are fairly low and just a good hand tight should be just fine.

Yes, you have to pull that bracket to access that bolt.
