Default Head spacer

has anyone heard about the spacer kit that can be placed between the block and head allowing for a change to be made in stroke allowing for more N/A power.

I have seen this done on b-series motors

Don't think they are made for the f20/22

Are you talking about a thicker headgasket? If you are buying a "spacer" that would decrease compression making it more FI friendly. If you are wanting to increase NA power you would want to decrease the space between the head and the block.

The headgasket has no effect on displacement. A thicker gasket is the cheapest way to lower the static compression ratio.

Lower compression on a NA car loses power.

You may have to notch out the the bottom of the cylinders to allow for the increase in rod angularity.

Agreed but he wants to increase power, so he should use a thinner headgasket, if they even make one for our car. Possibly Cometic?

Spoon makes a thinner HG. A waste of time and money IMHO.
