Default headlight problem

ok..i have a 2005 nfr s2000

my right headlight(passenger side) went out..so i dont have a low beam except for the drivers side

well i jst got my HIDS and they came in

i installed them..but my right headlight still doesnt work

so i installed my HIDS on my drivers side to see if the problems were in the bulbs and they DID work..so its not the HID Bulbs

i went to check the fuses..and none of them are snapped

ALL my high beams work..ALL my corner parking lights work

its jst the low beam on the passenger side

i dont know what the problem is..is my only option to take it to the shop??

if any of you guys have any answers thanks for the help..id appreciate it.

Bad ballast? Did you check it? It's located under the headlight.

Don't plug in the driver side headlight, but have the passenger side plugged in. Then have someone turn the lights on (engine off), and see if you can hear a whine, if you do, then your ballast works, if not, you need a new one.

The ballast is probably out. Or...check the fuses and relays.

yeah..i checked the fuses.neither the right or the left headlight fuses are snapped..

i just havent checked the relays..

if i have a bad ballast..shouldnt my high beams and parking lights also be out too?? theyre perfectly fine..no flickers or anything..its jst the low beam for some reason.

your parking lights and High beams are normal halogens I believe and don't require a ballast like HID bulbs do.

To troubleshoot HIDs, do the following:
1. Swap the bulbs to the other side (you already did this)
2. Swap the igniter to the other side (#12 in the pic)
3. Swap the ballast to the other side (#9 in the pic)

You'll be able to isolate the point of failure this way and order just the part you need.
