heating problem
hi i have a heating problem . well i have a GPW 2005 s2000 with 60 000 KM on the clock. i changed the coolant reservoir , the thermostat , the reservoir cap . usually the problem is that after ii left the garage ( i let the car get the 4 bars of temperature )4 o 5 minutes of running the car start to rise up the temperature , i stop and wait some minutes and the car goes fine again. maybe i am pushing hard the car to early . need help please sorry for my english is my second language.
these cars are not the easiest to make sure all of the air isout. The Heater Core holds air . . if you notice along the firewall, there is an aluminum hose running across that. It leads to the heater and also has a black rubber peice on it above the engine(just to be sure lookign at the right one) but it sounds like the system is not entirely bled out. Your heater will not heat propelry and the car will run hot until you get that air out or the cooling system.
when you say heating problem are you referring to the car running hot or the heater not working?? If all the air isnt out of the system the heat will not work properly and it will run hot..... DO NOT DRIVE UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED OR You can warp the head or crack the block from overheating it.. raise the front end of the car up to get the aluminum hose well below the radiator fill
