Default Help another Air Pump CEL

(Hello, I've got an S2000 2001 65000miles (95000km canqadian), I'm having an Air Pump CEL, I know my Air Pump is working (pump noise at Startup). Today Honda dealer changed my Air Pump Relay for a new one, Honda Tech told them this new releay version should resolve the issue... too bad the CEL came back.

Any idea where to look for?

Note: I have a used spare relay and same phenomenon.

Regards,
Alex...

So the air pump relay was working, and the "tech" changed thwe relay??? What a retard. There is NO new relay version. Do yourself a favor and demand your money back.

Out of a few dozen P0411 codes, I have never seen a bad pump relay.

What is your code number?

For sure I will get my money back, they reset the CEL and were not able to reproduce it, I reproduced the CEL later. Strange Honda Tech said new relay version...

Thanks for the info, I would like to try my spare pump but the hose are so tightly fixed... any idea how to remove the 2 hoses from the pump?

In my experience, dealerships know zip about the S2000.

They're like "hen's teeth" according to the service manager where I am (who is probably 1 of 2 in the entire dealer network that will admit they don't know much). The Honda Service Manual is about the extent of their knowledge base, and that manual isn't even very good.

I do know those hoses are tough to get off...I had to remove one from my airbox to install my supercharger. You try WD40 or maybe some PB Blaster (not sure how appropriate that is for hoses, but it made my crank pulley easy!).

Hello, I found my Air Pump CEL issue, it was releated to vacuum valve hose connected wrongly (maybe because the previous owner had a cold air and did not reconnect the vacuum valve correctly)

Today, Honda dealer refunded the Air Pump Relay they sold me. I reinstalled my old relay.

99% of air pump codes are crossed vac lines.

What if the code thats being thrown is P0410 and nothing in that area was touched, is it the actual pump thats bad? Is it a cheap fix or would i be better off buying that $65 bypass and call it a day? My only concern is with the bypass will i still pass inspection on my 04 ap2
