Default help with apexi neo

I was wondering if anyone could walk me trough a very conservative tune for my car. I know I should leave this to a proffesional, the problem is I live and have this car with me in Mexico, and I wouldn't not trust anyone down here with my car.I just brought it here form chicago. The reason I need a tune is I did an f22 swap( brought from s2000_PartsMaster, great guy to deal with) into an 00 AP1. I have no clue how to use the neo or how to tune, I have read a ton of posts in the vafc libary and multiple topics, but im still clue less, I have no idea what most post's are talking about , I have no idea how to set it up on wot( i assume it means wide open throttle?) , or were to find that function.I want to set my vtec points to 5600rmp, put my rev limiter to stock settings, since I still have the ap1 ecu, and if possible lean out the fuel a bit, I hear ap1 ecu's run really rich.

I would not try to tune it myself if you don't know what you are doing. I would turn off any corrections until you can find a tuner to do this you would go to settings and select air map press down and select corrections off. To set your vtec engagement point you would go to settings, select v/t control, on the first line Lo -> high put in 5600 and high -> low put in 5500. This would set your vtec engagements at 5600. This was where my ap1 sweet spot was. Besides that I would wait till you get get a tuner before messing with other settings. I would also try and get onto apexiusa.com and download the neo manual if you don't have one.

You cannot adjust the rev limiter with it.

Yea. Can't set rev limiter. Only thing you can do is a/f ratio, set vtec engagement, and monitor your sensors and see your throttle percentage. You can set a warning notice on the neo for rpms and the neo will flash once you are over the threshold but it is just a warning

if you dont have a wideband you can't tune it. so install an aem uego or innovate lc-1

on another note how did you get a dbw f22 installed with an ap1 wireharness/ecu?

read this a few times

Wide throttle is what you want to subtract fuel from. But you cant do it without a wideband to check your afr. I would be surprised if you were running that rich. I know the 01 ecu runs really rich, but the F22 also consumes more fuel then the f20, and if you have an bolt ons that further requires more fuel. I had to actually add an adjustable rate fpr to be able to turn up the fuel pressure and get more fuel with my 01 ecu/f22 combo with bolt ons. Get that wideband before you make any afr adjust. Also when you lower vtec you will run lean from the new set point to the oem one, so that needs to be check as well. Basically you cant do shit until you get on a dyno and or get a wideband. Then someone can walk you through the functions of what to do.
