Default Help with ce code P0138

I've got 82000 miles on my 08 and just had this code pop up last night. I first checked it with a paperclip and then with my ultra gauge. I've cleared it for now after I pulled it of course. How do I fix this? Do I just buy a new secondary o2 sensor? Does this fail often?

My car is stock by the way, I only do maintenance on it which I feel is at or before what the manual calls for at times. Any help is appreciated. This is not what I need right now, I just spent a good bit of money on materials so that I can change my transmission, and diff fluid and to check my valves and replace my Spark plugs. Sigh..

edit: here is what I have found in my research, and when I used the paper clip I had 6 long and 3 short blinks, the Ultra gauge told me it was p0138

P0137 6 - 3 P0136 ____ Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Sensor 2)
P0138 6 - 3 P0136 ____ Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Sensor 2)
P0139 6 - 3 P0136 ____ Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Slow Response (Sensor 2)

IF it is the O2 sensor, it looks like I need the one in the cat correct? I see from Majestic Honda these are $210 (36531-PZX-013)

http://www.hondaauto...XHAUST+MANIFOLD

Or is it this one from honda? (36532-PZX-004) $210
http://www.hondaauto...+PIPE+-+MUFFLER

Would this Walker brand be recommended?:
http://www.oxygensen...p?&pkey=1441756 - theirs is $140

Or should I just stick to OEM? I want whatever will last the longest and work the best (like OEM).

Thanks, Justin.

does the car seem to have any new rattles? Mine threw the same code after the core inside my cat came loose. It comes and goes intermittently.

You should be able to make it go away with a defouler.

I won't tamper with the emissions since I have to get them done every year here in Atlanta; to each his own' I have used something like that before on a past car when I was younger but don't want to deal with that again.

I haven't heard any rattles besides my stereo bezel that likes to rattle ever since I installed it 40k miles ago... lol. Its not that bad but no I haven't heard the cat rattling apart.

I posted some links in the original post, as to which o2 sensor I should buy.

Yes its the one in the cat. Autozone/advanced auto parts will have it for something like $115. They price match if you find it somewhere else as well.

I figured out why what they were looking up for me was so cheap; It was a universal unit that still had to be made to fit.

and that one you linked looks good to me. but here it is on amazon prime for less.

Ill have this on Tuesday... of course the CEL came back today so there is no point in clearing it again with the UltraGauge. Once I replace the o2 sensor and clear the code with the UltraGauge, should I pull the "backup" fuse to clear the ECU or is clearing the code sufficient enough?

Thanks

Here is the one I just bought from Rockauto for $58 for my '06 and I think both of our cars take the same o2 sensors.
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...146&cc=1441756
I replaced both of mine as they had 101k miles on them.
