No, I do not have an "blower". Is that the same as an "aftercooler"? I'm bringing my s2k in the shop tomorrow and I can answer all your questions whether I even have an ESM or not.

They called me today and said that my new FMU is in. So after the swap, and I'm still having those problems. I'll keep yall posted. But thanks for all the possibilities and solution.

"Blower" is another term for supercharger so I hope you have one.

Looking back at your post I assume that you were checking fuel pressure at idle. If the pressure is 50psi at idle then you are running way too rich. Possible reasons are FPR faulty (and you are having that changed) but also possible bad or incorrect vaccum lines from the manifold.

Your tech should visually check the vacuum lines and also put a vacuum gauge on the line near the FPR. It should be showing a vacuum of about 20" at idle I believe.

It could be your ESM the same thing happened to my car when one of the wires was loose on it.

GOOD NEWS!!

Okay fellas....along the way to the shop today, my car died twice. Once I got there, the tech replaced me with a new FMU that we had ordered.

After the installation, my fuel gage pressure was holding steady at 38psi without any adjustment. Is that to high? Or it's just comptech's setting?

I then took it to the freeway for a hard drive. It turns out that the car didn't die or show any sign of "near death experienc" on me.

Hopefully, it's the bad FMU thats been the cause of the problem. But I'm still keeping an alert on the problem. So let me test drive the car for a few days, and I'll keep you guys posted.

The FMU is the Vortech device that sits downstream of the stock fuel pressure regulator and applies back pressure with boost. The stock FPR will open to allow excess fuel pressure back to the fuel tank, but the FMU will block it when it sees boost so the pressure in the fuel rail rises.

Comptech do the same thing by replacing the stock FPR with a 6:1(??) rising rate FPR.
