Default Help! Curb Checked @30 MPH!

Hey guys I need your help once again. To make a long story short, in order to avoid killing someone's 4-legged best friend I had to swerve out of the way and had only enough time to decelerate to 30 mph when I had to make my S2k ride some curb.

I already drove for a bit and I hear no odd noises. There was no body damage and it seems that the undercarruage was not scraped up at all. The alignment is off a little bit but I'll have that taken care of very soon. The wheels and tires seemd alright. Is there anything else I should worry about? I'm still under warranty but if I bring it to the dealer. I'm afraid if something's wrong then they'll say it isn't covered by warranty b/c of the circumstances.

Any help would be mucho appreciated. If something like this ever happens again Fido's a goner.

if it's not covered by warranty then i'd consider an insurance claim, depending on amount of damage. sounds very minimal though, so probably no worries.

i think i would of just ran that dog over... my friend while driving home from LA in a Toyota 4runner got killed because he was trying to avoicd a big tumble weed on the way home on highway 5 and was only travelling at 70mph and the car flipped over and tumbled..sometimes when we swerve to avoid an accident, isnt always the best move, since there might be another car around or the car might go outta control and hit something else instead.

Thanks for all your guys' help, that's why I love this board. I think everything's alright b/c I had other people drive my s2k and they think the alignment is ok. The only damage seems to be psychological, I'm a little overprotective of my baby. I'll get the alignment checked out. Thanks for all the help guys.

simmilar thing happend to my buddy. insurance said that since he hit nothing but the curb, they found it his fualt. they said if you had struck the animal, then it wouldnt have been your fualt.

anyway, you might want to have your sway bar checked and make sure that the are still on the linkage. thats all i can think of.

depending on angle and which part of the car hit the curb, it could be very serious. 30mph is not a slow speed. There's not enough info given, but somethings to look out for would be fubar'd wheel bearings, damaged steering rack, the list can go on.

I hit the curb at about a 45 degree angle. Only the tires hit. I'm gonna take a look underneath pretty soon, haven't had a chance to lately. No funny noises nor does it feel differently.
