Default Help with Engine Damper Installation

Just received my engine damper(it was from ebay) but the instructions are in japanesse. I looked in the DIY to see if there was a topic on it but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where I could get instructions to install this.

Thanks

if you got it off ebay, make sure first off that you actually got the S2000 specific bracket with it, otherwise you wasted your money

It looks like it came with all the components. I compared it to brand named engine dampers and it looks the same.

The damper itself,is the same for most cars;the difference is in the attachements, brackets etc...
You"ll have to remove or make a hole through the heatshield, for the damper to go through, and remove the fuse box,and fit the bracket there.
Good luck, and post pics of the completed job.

The heatshield is relatively easy to remove - its held on by 2 bolts you have to remove and one you have to loosen.

As for the damper, the install is easy enough. You might need to pick up a bolt so you can bolt the bracket to the block.

You will have to remove the metal bracket on the shock tower holding the fuse box. It gets in the way of the ETD bracket. The fuse box is safe enough on there with just the one bracket.

I had a custom mount made - welded the bracket to the foot of my spoon STB and had another mount made for the fuse box. Ill post up some pics later if someone wants them.

As for the hole in the heatshield - measure twice, cut once. Getting it all to line up correctly is not as easy as it looks.

I have to disagree, I can go through a turn and cross into vtec without throwing the balance of the car off after installing the ETD
