Default Help with identifying engine tapping noise

Hello guys,
I have this problem I've been trying to figure out for a while - when engine is warm, it's making distincitve tapping noise at idle, I think it can be clearly heard at the videos below. I checked how the bad TCT sounds like and it's a different sound to me, but I'd like to hear your opinions.
It's 2001 AP1, 170k miles on the clock, valve adjustment done 1k miles ago (they were a little bit tight before adjustment), not throwing any CELs, runs and drives good, except burning pretty serious amount of oil which I top up every time (I guess with that mileage on AP1 it's not so uncommon).

Cold start (not sure why the video is mirrored but that's irrelevant):
Idle when cold:
Idle when hot (after 30 mile drive):

Any input appreciated, thanks in advance!

Sounds like the valves are just adjusted on the loose end of the range. No worries.

Better to hear them than to smell them.

Warmed up it sounds exactly like mine. This car has the worlds noisiest injectors and valves so as you move your head around the engine bay the sound is always coming from somewhere else lol I found a video on youtube that was basically a clone of this post. Sounded identical.

Did you ever figure out the source of the noise?

You should hear the engine on my recently sold Mazda MX5 (NC), luckily I had an aftermarket muffler which ironed out the noise

All engine noise videos need to be recorded with the hood closed. It is the only way to pinpoint individual noises.

No, after the posts I just assumed everything is fine.

Good advice, I can make that happen and post it here by the end of the week

I am no mechanic and do not claim to have any mechanical skills, I would have someone look at that for me . . .Given that expense of something going wrong, something you could have addressed, I would have it checked by someone who is very familiar with these engines. Good luck and do update us on the outcome.
