Thumbs up Help with J's Intake Install

So my buddy and I started installing the intake the other day and ran into two problems that we haven't been able to figure out. I need someone's expertise here.

First I cant figure out how to connect this hose to the intake. We tried to rig it with a piece of tubing but it wont hold. Here are two pics of what i mean.

The black hose is to big to go in the hole on the intake and i didnt see a fitting to make it connect with the intake. Hopefully i am just overlooking something.

Also we couldn't figure out where the bracket mounts to hold the scoop. So if someone has a picture of where its mounted that would be most helpful.

Thanks,
Brian

that piece that connects to the intake( where you rigged the clear tubbing) you need to removed a metal piece from your stock intake, or AEM intake. Basically where that thing was connected to to whatever intake you ran before...you need to remove it. Its a tight fit so some muscle is required to take it out.

The bracket that mounts to the hood scoops mounts to the 2 brackets that the OEM intake mounted to. There are two silver brackets

Hum...as long as you have the OEM intake you will see on the intake arm there what looks like a brass pipe. this is there that gray hose attaches to.

The brackets that the J's bracket connects to would however need the OEM intake install brackets...If you need pictures let me know I can send them to you

hey did you figure it out? if not get that brass peice out of the oem that shadow was talking about, then instead of that bs oem clamp i went and got a screw tightening strap, i dont know the technical term for them but like the name they have a screw head that you turn to tighten the clamp, and as far as mounting the scoop there is a small silver bar that the bracket sits on and gets screwed into ill see if i can find my digi cam to get pics. pm me and lemme know if this was any help
