Check out www.hardtopguy.com for a like new 2.2L

If the rod left the motor, there isn't anything worth saving inside.

Well, not sure how serious of a build you were planning on, but a Toda 2.5L stroker would be sweet! That is if you want to go N/A.

Buy a new 2.2L from hardtopguy. My experience with a built motor (2 actually) was not positive.

I bought a new 2.2L from hardtopguy this last spring. Better number and results than I had with built motors.

Definitely find a factory built replacement, and those 2.2s from Hartop Guy are a great option. They came from new cars that were written off during delivery in a train wreck. So they are brand new, factory built, 2.2L and cheaper than a rebuild.

I might have to get one myself.
