Default Help me with my door locks

Hey. Getting no replys over in electronics so Ill post here. - I need some sugestions to help me with my door lock remote. When outside the car and I push the lock button on the remote.. nothing happens. No sound or anything.. locks dont lock. The remote will un-lock both of the doors however and open the trunk, just wont lock them.

Pulled the panels, everthing looks fine. Checked the fuses under the dash, theyre fine too. The batteries in both of my remotes are good, does the same thing with both remotes. What electronically should I be looking at to get my doors to lock when I push the button?

Thanks much

Trying to find my copy of the wiring diagrams or service manual, but an initial guess would be a relay malfunction. Possibly even a partial malfunction (if both lock and unlock use the same relay).

I'm betting it's the button on the key fob.

Ok stupid question.. where are the relays and how do I test/replace them? Are there one or two?

Both actuators wouldnt go bad at the same time would they? If one went out would the other side still lock or no?

I dont believe its the key remotes because I have two remotes both with fresh batteries and its the same with either one. Thanks

In the FWIW category, I've had major problems with both lock actuators not (un)locking. When this happens, I actually have to use both the key as well as the fob to get them working (twist the key until it is ready to move the levers, maintain pressure and hit the fob button). I had the mechanism on the driver's door replaced once - very expensive. I'm not particularly interested in trying to pull the actuator out myself due to the tight space, sharp edges and big hands. Examining the area with a mirror and flashlight revealed little. So, I tried a different approach and sprayed the hell out of the actuator and rod connections with silicone spray and that helped a lot. Not perfect - they stick stick once in a while but a couple of exercises of the mechanism gets them working again.

Yeah doors are closed. Tried using the key a few times.. feels smooth but the remote still doesnt work.

Anybody know with detail where the lock relays are at?
