Default Help! Plastic bag melted to CAT!

Does anyone know how to get a melted plastic bag off the catalytic converter?

I figure it will eventually burn off, but the toxic stench is killing me (literally)!

Be damned if I ever drive through San Francisco again !

Heat it up with a drive, then attack it with a copper scouring pad for pots and pans.

Thanks MacGyver,

That is pretty much what I was thinking... Was hoping for some sort of miracle cream that vaporizes plastic

LOL
It happened to my car before too. The smell is terrible I got honda to remove it when I serviced the car.

Funny thing is for the next month I was dodging plastic bags on the road with my car. It has not repeated as yet

I had this happen too, I used a torch and a stainless steel BBQ scraper/brush to take off the plastic. It will never burn off by itself good luck!
