Default Help Please!

hey i just purchased a 2000 s2000 but the thing is its re-built title now this is not a big deal for me cuz ive wanted this car for a long time. The check engine light turned on and the car is running garbage i got it dynoed and it gave 116 whp then the guy tuned the VAFC 2 for me and he got the car up to 160 but i dont know if this is the average im guessing well hoping its not can someone please give me some tips on what to do to make the car run a little better im a noob to the s2000 so i dont really know much about it any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Get rid of the vafc.

Pull the code, fix the car, get 180-205 rwhp, THEN tune it. Don't tune to hide a problem.

sounds like you have some major problems. I would figure out what the problem is before you try to upgrade.

Sounds like its losing alot of power even for a serious compression leak.

My guess is, for the tuner to get you up to that HP starting off that low he was pulling fuel. Must of been pig rich. Check the dyno sheet for your air fuel ratio. Check your map sensor connection and spark plugs first.. Then bust out the tools and comp test that bad boy. keep us posted

Not many experienced technicians are. They can cause way more problems than gains they may provide.

There won't be any AFC on a OBDII car I own.

hm. i guess on the s2k its pretty negligle as far as gains. either go ams or gears
