Yesterday I jumped my car because the battery was dead , then I started it up ,closed the door and hood then it locked by itself . I got the window down then unlocked it , after I shut the car off I heard a sound from the alarm but it wasn’t the actual alarm going off , so I disconnected the battery and now when I try to connect the terminals to the battery I hear the alarm going off as soon as it touches. I am still able to start my car no problem, but the lights flash on my dash and my outside lights also. How can I fix this ?

 

Start by charging the battery at least overnight.

Aftermarket alarm?

 

yes , it is a fairly new battery and aftermarket alarm.

 

Over-ride/reset on some alarms:

-key off
-disconnect battery
-key on
-connect battery
