Default HELP!! Quick! Installed Comptech CAI, Check Engine Light is ON

I'm leaving for a trip this afternoon, and would like to not have to worry about the Check Engine Light.

I triple checked the vacuum lines, coolant line, Map sensor connection, and everything seems to be per the directions. Any ideas?

I also installed the Comptech exhaust a few days earlier, but no problems from that.

Quadruple check the vacuum lines. Try flipping the connections, it's easy to get them wrong. I notice you did not mention the air control solenoid wiring harness in your post. Make sure you remembered to reconnect that. If all else fails, reinstall the stock box. If you still get a check engine light, then the problem's probably elsewhere.

Slowboy, you are good.

That was the connector I forgot to reinstall. But the light is still on. Does if have to be reset by a diagnostic tool?

You can reset the CEL by pulling the fuse labled "backup" from the fuse panel in the footwell. Pull it out, wait 30 secs, and replace.

It is officially fixed. I brought it into the local auto shop, and luckily, he is an S2000 fan. They hooked up the diagnostic tool, and the error was the air control solenoid. They cleared the error, no charge, and the light is now out.

Thanks Slowboy, I owe you a lunch.

MR, thanks for the tip, I'll remember that next time.
