Default HELP! tanabe strut bar threads stripped

Got this off of Honda-tech marketplace. Got a good deal...or so I thought. When I tried to install it, the bolt just wouldn't bite and screw into the bar. Here's why - it was stripped. Bad Seller .... Anyone have any useful ideas on how to make this work?

It's ok... That looks like an easy fix as just the starter thread has a "booger" on it. Go to Sears and buy a metric tap and die set. You'll need it again sometime for sure.
Spray a lubricant like WD 40 on it, re-thread and you're in business.
2 min fix.
The thread could have just been whacked in shipping.
Also... Google metric thread file. Works like a champ to fix damaged starter thread.

Edit. Just noticed the thread direction... That one is left hand!!!
Try turning the other way!!!

How the hell did you notice it was reverse threaded just by seeing a pic?
