Hesitation During Vtec
This is my first ever forums post so bear with me please
I've got a 2000 S2000 with about 180k on the clock, it's got a bad hesitation only during v-tec, it will free rev just fine and I can rev match it past 6k just fine too
here's a video of the hesitation, WOT 2nd gear pull
I've already checked oil pressure, replaced V-tec solenoid, pressure switch, V-tec gasket, Spark Plugs, Coilpacks, did a valve adjustment, checked rockers and made sure all pins move freely, made sure it does have a 2000 ECU in it, cleaned the throttle body and map sensor, smoke tested it and it does not have any leaks what so ever
I've checked with a snap-on scanner that vtec does stay actuated and mechanically acts how it should, the short term fuel trim at idle is around 12%-17% but goes to about 3%-5% under heavier load before going closed loop, I did about an hour drive on mostly highways and long term fuel trim was 11%
I plan on checking the O2 sensor and possibly trying to test fuel pressure but at the moment I'm pretty lost
The CEL is for low voltage at the air pump because it's just not there and the whole system for it is removed
Any insight on what it could be or what to check next would be greatly appreciated, thank you
