Do you have a CAI? Has it rained recently?

Any particular reason a flooded CAI would wait for 6k rpm to result in engine hesitation?

I'm seconding the map whack diagnosis

after completing this (TSB 04-073 Intermittent Hesitation During Hard Acceleration ) you will not need to do the so called "map whack".

I still don't know why everyone still brings up the map whack. pulling and reinstalling the plug would be better then whacking the damb thing.
