Default Honda is looking at producing Performance Parts!

It looks like Honda might be looking to start making performance parts again! These will be along the same lines as Toyotas TRD (toyota racing development). They won't screw up the warranty either.

I was at the Tuner Shootout and the Honda built car was impressive but I wouldn`t hold your breath.

Could this mean the old man is retiring and the kid will convert "Mugen" into the Honda livery?

I have actually had numerous conversations with some R&D people that are clients of mine about this topic and I think it is more real then fiction. I also has a rather long discussion with one of the top guns at Honda of America about the new Civic and what it was missing -- My number one comment was the performance end. I don't think I had anything to do wth any of this but I do know Honda has been thinking about this for a while.

I hope they do it. It would seem like a win/win situation for them to do this. Does anyone know what the cons are for them to go ahead with this? ò
