Default Hood alignment

I noticed today that my hood, when closed, is not flushed with my front bumper. It looks like it needs to lower about 1/8" to really be flushed with the other panel. Is there a way this can be adjusted and, if so, how?

you can loosen the bolts connecting the hood to the hinge and adjust to a further point and tighten. or depending on how much room there is for the bumper itself to move you could slightly adjust the bumper.

The bumper is fine and seemed aligned properly. It just looks as if the hood could close another 1/8". So I should adjust by the hood hinge then? There isn't any kind of rubber stops or things like that to adjust where the hood meets the front bumper?

adjusting the front latch lower will allow the hood to close lower by pulling it downwards. But you get to a point where the hood then becomes harder to close and you have to drop it from a higher height to close or with greater force. I've messed with mine because I had the same issue as your's, I lowered the latch but I later decided to raise it back up again as I was tired of having to force the hood closed. You can try adjusting it a bit to see if you can find a happy medium. Check to see if your rubber hood cushions aren't set too high as they can raise the edge of the hood if not adjusted properly. The hood cushions go up and down by turning them left or right.

I guess this would be better to try first than my input. although, you could still try at the hinge, u might get a small adjustment out of it

First thing you need to do is find the two black bumpers on each side of the engine bay. Those screw in and out and adjust the final ride height once the hood is latched.

If when your hood is closed, can you push down and move the hood ?(push in the middle where the hood latch is). If you can push the hood down with out much pressure then I would lower the hood latch just a little. I did this on my '06 and the hood closes easy and looks like it should when the hood is closed.

Try the stops first. Then work on the latch and the hinges to get it to where you are satisfied.

There are four rubber stops, two in the middle of the bay and two at the front edge.
