Hot fender
Every time after I drive for a good distance, I notice my front fenders are rather warm, almost too hot. I know it's not my brakes because I can put my hand on the wheel and it's not as hot as the fender. Is this normal? I have no heat insulation on my hood if that makes a difference. Can it be the wiring to the turning signal? Aside from that I don't know what the problem could be.
The heat is coming from the top of the fender right behind the front wheels. Does the brake line pass by this area?

My passenger side fender gets pretty hot after drives (like ow don't touch!) but it is due to the heat from the exhaust in my case. I don't know if the same is true for a stock vehicle, but I would imagine it is.
There's a LOT of heat generated under the hood. Exhaust, hot air on the back side of the radiator, a hot engine, etc. All this heat heats up the air in the engine compartment. Have you ever pointed a heat gun at something and left it there for a while? There may be a gap letting air exit to the under fender area. Blamo, hot fender.
