Default How to debadge my s2k

I'm looking to take off the front badge on my s2k. Are there holes behind the badge. If so how do I fill them. I have an ap1 if that makes any difference. I also am going to paint my rims, do the wheele badges just pop out. I have stock rims. Thanks

yup, two small holes behind the front badge. if you want them filled the right way then you need a body shop. otherwise there is the DIY route.... duct tape behind the holes, fill with bondo, then touch up paint. center caps should just pop out for painting. as for getting a good paint job on the wheels, it's all about good prep work and then building up thin layers of even paint.

The rear badge will just pop off, but the front badge is clipped behind the front bumper. If you want to save the front badge you will have to remove the clip from under the front bumper.

There is a way to get it off if you really don't want to take off your bumper, tho it will destroy your front badge. You can brake the badge in half and saw the two clips. Tho you have to be careful b/c you can scratch your paint very easily.

IMO just take the front bumper off. It's easy and you should learn just in case you need to take it off in the future. Which ever method you choose, good luck!

I just took off my front badge tonight. I pried the edges of the badge with my fingers which have moulding tape on them, I then slid a zip tie under the badge and pulled it straight up with a pair of vice grips clamped on the two ends of the zip tie, the badge broke into a few pieces leaving two parts that were clipped underneath. I then used the zip tie and vice grips under the two remaining parts, they pulled right out and any clip must have fallen into the bumper area.

I was installing a new JDM NSX-R front badge so it is all good, I didn't care about sparing the oem badge.

Sure there is. I removed my clips without removing the front bumper cover.

That's not debadging (note the subject of this thread). That's rebadging.
