How do i get rid of CEL running with Testpipe?
hi
i search few fourms.there's thread about the 02 sensor things.
i did the same things ,build the mechanical O2 Simulator, after i run around 260 miles the CEL comes back on again,
is there anyhting i do wrong?
will the Electrical 02 simulator works?
thanks very much

Odd that the mechanical O2 simulator didn't work for you. You're probably the first one to report that this didn't work. I've had mine one for quite a long time now and never a CEL. Did you use 2 of them stacked together? And is the sensor assembly hanging down. It should be at least horizontal or a bit tilted upwards. And you did put the simulator on the sensor in the test pipe, right?
I guess you'll have to try the electronic one.

i use 2 of them
so u mean i have to tilt the 02 sensor a bit?
is that correct?
yes.i did put it into the testpipe
thanks
The EGC electronic 02 sim works just fine. It only simulates the 02 output signal, not the heater circuit. You'll need leave the 02 plugged in , or wire a resistor in the heater circuit to keep the CEL out.

Slow also has some good points.
hmmm...ya I guess you already saw my thread on the mechanical simulator...strange that it didn't work for you...I've been running this since August and still no CEL, I would also check to make sure that this is the correct CEL that you are getting and not for something else...if this isn't working for you...then well check and make sure that you did everything the right way...and if you did...then I guess you are stuck with having to get a Electronic
