Default How do I separate the tranny from engine?

I am in the middle of replacing my clutch and I can't get the transmission away from the engine. I have tried a little prying & pulling but I can't get the top to pull away. I have removed every bolt as stated in the manual. Any help would be great.

I would think there is still a bolt somewhere. Are you sure you removed them all? It should split from the engine fairly easily.

I was 100% sure that I took them all out until you said that. Let me go take another look. Be back in 2 mins

I think I remember a thread like this before. The guy/gal doing the work had left a bolt in that sits near the starter or maybe it was a starter bolt. Once the bolt was taken out it came apart with ease.

I took out the:

starter bolt out
3 upper bolts from trans ---> Engine
2 lower bolts from trans ----> engine
3 Lower bolts from engine ---> trans

I am stumped. How did you go about separating them?

I have yet to replace my clutch on the S, only have 36k. My 240sx was a pain until I realized I had missed a bolt then it slid off with a prybar. Same with a focus I did, there was a bolt that I missed, once it was out the tranny slip off. I am not sure how many bolts there are to disassemble. I am searching for a DIY but cant find it.

I think I may have accidently removed the lower starter bolt and not the upper. Brb again.
