Default How does your S2k shut off?

I’ll see if I can explain this correctly. Whenever I shut my car off, it almost sounds like you can literally hear the engine slow down to a stop after turning the key off.

I’m new to s2000’s so apologies for the weird question. Most cars I’ve had just shut right off and no one would think anything of it. But this caught my ear. Is it normal? Does this sound like your S2k?

Here’s a the best vid with audio I could get. Not the best example but you can sort of hear how the engine clunks to a stop.
Video/Audio of shutting off

Side note: I had valves adjusted. New head gasket. Entirely new head. All professionally done.
I'll probably replace coil packs and / or engine mounts. Car is a hair too rumbly during idle for my taste

Thank you all!

Sounds normal to me? I can't really tell anything special from your video.

For the record, my 2003 Accord with 350k miles on it shuts down so peacefully that you can't even notice. Flick the key, super quiet, no shakes, no noise.

On the contrary, my S2000 has always had a bit of a "rough" shutdown in comparison to the Accord.

Mine is like that also. A bit more drama and shaking than my CRV.

If you rev up other cars before turning them off, they shut off like the S2000.

S2000's idle higher than a other cars. And the engine is built to be low friction. And the mounts are fluid filled.

Ok thanks everyone! I figured I was being a little sensitive. But thought I’d check. Appreciate the responses!

I used to describe it almost like a diesel in how it shuts down, it is normal. I also used to get a rattlesnake type sound from the TCT/ timing chain with the oem TCT.
