thanks for the tip.

I had removed shims from under the latches to try and tighten things up, but that wasn't enough. I then used those extra shims and placed them under the strikers and things have really tightened up now. It's perfect, tight enough that I won't need the add the vacuum hose. I shin etsu greased the upper seals to keep them plump.

Just one note on the vacuum hose that was added, that space is designed to drain away water that may seep into that channel, so it shouldn't be too tight, loose enough to allow water to fall into the channel and drain away at the ends.

yes you are right with the channel but the vac hose is not to big to obstruct the channel. but once that part is sealing tight water won't even be able to get in there.

it's a lil thicker but the hole is the same size of the vac line that goes to the air pump. I got a whole roll of it from autozone.

i am getting wind noise from the drivers side window where it meets the side of the hardtop seal. I used rubber pieces to make the front latches tighter and that fixed all my other issues.

anyone else get wind noise from between the window seal and window.

I have adjusted and adjusted and adjusted the top, still happens. May just get a new window seal for the hardtop!
