details on the second motor? Was it brand new? Who installed it? These motors are pretty much as sturdy as they come with the factory, many times, motors that go boom for no reason are due to used parts that weren't properly inspected/installed. There are many F20/22's that are tracked hard and put away many times without breaking a sweat. A little canyon carve is not going to do much to this motor.

It was a used long block.. The head was from an ap2 that just had a valve job and got polished. He assembled it after he changed all the seals and made sure everything looked okay. I'd rather leave his name unknown as I dont want people trying to bash him. It was assembled and ran fine I never noticed anything Unusual about the motor maybe a little loud valve train but I hear that's common. It just decided to blow up. My spark plug exploded was a mother effer to pull out in the 3rd cylinder. He said I over revved it but I told him I never have and he was as puzzled as I was. Anyone know what te symptoms are if you don't seat a valve correctly??

Which is basically what I told him in the last thread. The first motor was boosted and abused, the second was rebuilt by a mechanic who may know little to nothing about working on s2ks using a randomly sourced head and it blew. The "exploding spark plug" was likely an under-torqued spark plug, which doesn't bode well for the mechanic who installed it. How are either of these cases the fault of the f20/22? There are tons of people who autocross their s2k pretty much every week and their motors still last into the hundreds of thousands of miles.

Sounds like shoddy work on that head. Stock bottom ends are just about indestructible if maintained properly, and stock heads should be able to handle 200k of 9k RPM easily.

let me just add something that kind of stuck out to me...you said you only drive the car 2 miles a day and thats all it gets driven, correct? that short of distance isnt good for a car either...and to not wanting to take it to 9k, do it, its what the car was built for and there is a rev-limiter so youre not going to blow it up taking it to redline...both of your previous motors were sketchy, dont let that ruin your experience with the car...like everyone said, make sure the new motor is sound, keep oil in it and youre golden...these motors are pretty "bullet-proof" to begin with

S2kirish yeah I know but im really cautious with it the car warms up for about 10 or so minutes before it leaves my driveway I know short distances arent ideal. But I want to make sure my new motor is but I'm not that knowledgeable on cara yet I wouldn't feel comfortable so I want to make sure it is golden.

If your spark plug exploded, it was not tightened properly, 100% fact. That is the fault of the mechanic.

Seems like you need a go-over of the car, ck retainers, plug type and torque, give it a clean bill of health.
