g-s2k asked me how much oil goes in there and I just couldn't remember for the life of me. I even used that fantastic search button and turned up nothing!

Pinky, if you are planning to do it yourself, you will need a pump to get it into the case. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do, especially without a lift and stuff. And you would put in the fluid until it came out, that's how you know that it's full...

the pump greg mentions can be found for about 3-5 bucks at any autoparts store. you just screw it onto the cap of the oil, put the hose in the appropriate place and pump away.

not sure if its difficult to get to though on the S, but on old T5 trannies, there is two holes, both on one side, one to drain, one to fill.

not sure about filling it to the top, but then again, I haven't changed this tranny's oil yet, nor see the specs for it. wouldn't be anything wrong with doing that though.
