How much lower is the OEM lip compared to not having one?

 

About 1/2".

 

i've wondered the same and noticed it was only 1/2" like viper said, but it does give it a "lower" stance.

 

Where is the cheapest place to get a good quality oem lip. How is the quality on the ebay lips?

 

Ebay is the cheapest around so far, the poly ones being sold aren't bad at all. I have one and it fits nicely.

 

I bought a replica lip off of ebay for a little over a hundred bucks. When I first received it, the lip was totally warped. It would not even bolt on because it was warped so bad. However, all you have to do is take a blow dryer and bend it back into shape. It actually fits real nice. The bolt holes on the kit actually dont line up to the oem bumper so you will have to find a way around that. It's not too hard. All i used was zip ties and double sided tape. Fits just like Oem. Is it worth the money? Yes.

Oh and to answer your question, to me, it seems like it lowers more than 1/2 an inch. More like 1 inch to be exact but my eyes may be fooling me. I'll check when i get the chance.

 

did you guys paint the lip? Does it take much prep to make it look perfect. Im one of THOSE guys. What about the side strakes? Any good ebay specials for those?
