Default How to reduce latch rattle when top is down?

Pretty straightforward question, but I am hoping someone has found a solution to the rattling of the soft top latches over every bump when the top is down? My passenger side seems worse than my drivers side but they both make noise. I always snap them back into the closed position after unlatching the top but this still doesn't make much difference. Car is relatively rattle and noise free other than this.

I always put up with some rattling when the top is down as well. Just figured it was kind of "normal" for the car.

Default Pliable material

You may try wedging some felt, foam or other pliable material between the plastic trim and the latch. I had seen the video below, however have not tried it as it is not an issue for me.

Best to you!

I simply have lubed the mechanism in the latch, the result was amazing.

I used a special Spray: At the beginning it is like a oil, creeps deep into the mechanism. But as the thinner evaporates, it start to get thick like a grease. It´s called CRC Multilube Pro. You sure can find it or something similar.

The effect was really great.

THANK YOU!! This was a great idea. I had some leftover foam from rebuilding my seat bolster and just cut a cube of it and tucked it into the main body of the latch. Worked perfectly and you cannot see the foam when the latches are closed.

I appreciate all the other ideas. I was hesitant to apply any sort of lube or grease to the latch due to the fact that it is on the interior of the car with potential to smell and/or drip out.
