your help will be much appreciated |
My EPS worked ramdomly, I did everything, traced wires, measure voltage, etc. In the end, bought a EPS unit in Ebay and was done for the day.
Here is the procedure. With the car off, and the wheel straight do the following 1. Using a paper clip or backprobes, connect PIN 9 to PIN 4 on the ODBII connector. 2. Turn the steering wheel 45 degrees to the left 3. Turn the ignition switch on (II) 4. The EPS Light will be on for 4 seconds, when it goes out do step 5 5. Turn the steering wheel Straight, and release 6. The EPS Light will turn on in 4 seconds, when it goes out do step 7 7. Turn the steering wheel 45 degrees to the left 8. The EPS Light will be on for 4 seconds, when it goes out do step 9 9. Turn the steering wheel Straight, and release now the EPS light will blink twice after you relase the wheel, within 4 seconds. then it will blink 5 times. If the EPS light stays on, you will have to do this process again. |
1: What and where is the SCS circuit.
it is in the ODBII port. That is where the Honda Tester is pluged. 2: i am no mechanic, but how do i short the SCS circuit to ground? using a wire? short it to the body? I normally use the ground wire in the ODBII port. Jumping pin 4 and Pin 9 3: can someone post a full step by step details of how to? http://home.tiscali.nl/onlinestorage...20Position.JPG BTW the search really works. That is how I found this to post for you. |

how do you know that you turn steering wheel at exactly 45 degrees and not 43 or 47? this is impossible to judge by eye... |

There is numbers in each of the corners. Take a light and your glasses (I wear them, so everyone must too) and take a look. if you can't read it, I will take a look in the shop manual in the morning.

Hey guys
I am trying to reset my EPS however i don't seem to have pin 9 on my OBD port, there is no wire going into it. Anyone shed any light on this? |
I very recently did this on my S, and it definitely had a number 9 pin. It's in one of the corners. I noticed I had to put the wire I was using very far into the holes before they would make connection.
