Touch & turn that key all you want.
Just don't push the START button

Sorry about your engine problem

lol, good point. i honestley think my timing is off. i know my retianers are fine. i also think the grind sound is my starter going . . i had that grind sound a few weeks ago one morning when i was trying to start it. i think the cel is a cam shaft position sensor because they are not positioned correctley. does anyone know where i can get a pdf of how to align the came perfectly with the crank. that would be greatley appreciated. im not to happy after 130 dollar tow bill. im already a broke kid in college lol.

Stock PCM 00-05 cars will not start with the cams out of time. Cams don't get "out of time" Unless something broke.

Not entirely true...

When i got my 01 the exhaust cam was off a tooth... the car seemed to run decent enough with the stock ecu, no cel or anything. I only realized it when I put aem ems in it and when setting the timing w/the timing light it was way off from the base maps and it was missing about 15ft/lbs of torque.

OP, if you have a good way for me to send a 130meg file, i have the full FSM in pdf form..

No stock PCM equipped 00-05 car I have ever seen would start with cams out of time, and there have been many.

thanks guys, the picture above is exactly what mine looked like! i was changing my intake ap1 retainers to ap2 ones. we thought that it was supposed to be lined up with the red mark....no. i found that out the hard way. now everything is perfect. runs like a champ. i did a few 40 rolls with my friends ap2 and i was about a half car ahead and i beat my friends civic si as i always do by the same amount. so evverything is well. thanks again.

I have the same problem, did you have to pull the head again to fix the timing? Cant find any info on how to set it back to oem specs.

The first picture you posted is that out of time ? Does that little bit effect it?

Yes that pic is one tooth out of time.

Yes it has a major effect on the engine, most of the time it wont even run.

Cam timing must be spot on always.
