i'm confused - so those "middle" rockers that lock regulars rockers and push them - are they only on exaust or also on intake side?

also - so valves just open "deeper" and might be "linger" - what else changes?
more fuel? iginition timing pulled?

This should answer your question. VTEC has completely different fuel and timing maps, for a total of 4 maps.

actually it's pretty acward to see cams rotating opposite directions - i thought they rotate the same way.....

still some questions:
- so same thing happens to intake valves too?
- how do you count 4 maps? 2 for fueling (vtech and non-vtech) and 2 for timing (vtech and non-vtech) ?

yes both Intake and Exhaust rocker arms go into Vtec at the same time.
thats why DOHC is better then SOHC cause your sucking more air in and exhausting it faster.

Is the oil supply for vtec the very small hole on the front of the head??
I was inside of my cams and head tonight loking around and that is the only possible spot I seen for any oil to get into the rocker arm assembly.
