HP loss due to transmission?
Does anyone have or know someone who has engine dynoed an F-series motor and then chassis dynoed the same engine after installation?
I am looking for a close to accurate estimate on drive train loss in an s2k?
Just looking for graphs or numbers or any insight that you may have from experience.
Thanks

not sure the "sole" transmission lose but drive train loss in stock ap1 f20 is around 15-17 percent after correction factor.
being a rwd mid ship engine car, the drive train loss is tipical(little high side
)
no graph or anything to prove it but that's just observation after seeing 1254543 ap1 dyno thread.

did you mean to say after seeing 1254543 ap1 dyno threads? or is that a specific thread you referring to.
I am assuming you have just seen a lot of threads but wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the input anyone else??

I don't understand why you're still curious about this?
Most stock AP1s put down around 200HP to the wheel. The factory rating is 240HP at the crank. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that's about a 17 percent loss of power from the crank to the wheel.
