Can a hydrolocked motor be rebuilt?

I don't see why not as long as the damage isn't to severe like holes in the block - stuff like that. This didn't happen to you did it?

Yeah, my engine was hydrolocked, but i get a brand new 2002 slapped in, and a new supercharger if it isnt locked up also.

YOu had a 94 corsica! lol..i had a 94 beretta, auto, two tens and a 200 watt amp...sound nice,,and a sony deck, then went to pioneer..

I went through a river It downpoored big time here in arizona two weeks ago and i couldnt avoid the flooding, it was everywhere, and I really wasnt thinking, i should have just pulled over and waited for it all to die down

My friend's motor hydrolocked and we tear the motor apart,
it had a bent rod on #1 cylinder. Thank godness the walls
are fine. Rebuilt it and he's breaking in the motor again.

Pardon my ignorance, but what causes an engine to hydro-lock? Water being sucked into the intake?
