I picked up my AEM EMS from John Eagle Honda today. I'll have the unit installed and tuned next Friday (hopefully). Should be interesting to see what it can do.

The best thing so far has been reading the documentation. The manual, which only comes in digital format on the CD (PDF), is a crash course in how a modern engine works; and touches on what's important for a modified engine. Explanaition of MAP, MAF, TPS, Fuel Pump sizing formula, injector sizing formula, ingition timing, and on and on. The best thing is that it explains what this means to a car tuner, and what it means to a FI application. For anyone interesed I uploaded the document.

Wes on a FI induction car it says you may need additional hardware.. Im guessing a diffrernt map to read boost and larger injectors to compensate for not needing the rising rate regulator....Did you get these or does it need these?
Thanks

Hey Wes,

Give me a call when it's on the dyno. I wouldn't mind watching.

I read that too, but wasn't sure what to make of it. In reality, I shouldn't need anything, but it might be advantageous to eliminate some of the items from the Comptech setup, such as the check valve, or add/replace other items. Now that we're not working around the stock ECU it could be interesting to see what we can now do that Comptech didn't have the luxury to do when designing the kit. I plan on calling Comptech before the install to see if they have any good ideas.

Is this thing plug and play, or do you need to splice the stock harness? Sounds like an interesting project. I assume you are tuning from scratch - no base maps of any kind provided.
