Default I have question on JDM engine

I have a Lotus 7 project. I will be using JDM F20C.
Can someone tell me if I can boost an 11:7 compression ratio?
I am not looking for a big boost.

Second question:
Anyone who has a write-up that I can learn from?
Thank you

Many have boosted these engines. At around 10-12 psi give or take, you come close to doubling power output.

Stock internals hold up to around 550-600 whp. So 2x, or just above 400whp, easily hold up.

A good tune is essential. But the stock compression ratio is not an issue.

Kool project. Gotta see photos of this engine in this chassis! Curious what drive train you're matching to the engine and your anticipations of how it will hold up to the extra power (or even how you'll get it to the pavement).

How about, if I have JDM short block (block n head only), if i use all the ancillary of USDM F20c ( like the intake, injectors, sensors, vtec solenoid, oil pump etc, etc including using the ECU), will it run?

I will use Honda S2000 transmission also, for ease of installation.

We had some different emissions stuff with USDM but it will run with some codes set. You will just have some empty connectors on the harness if it is a US harness. you will need to match the harness to generation of motor as the cam sensors are a bit different on the US AP1. Hope that helps.

Since I don't need to worry about the emission with this project, will the error codes regarding the emission error affect the performance or trigger limp mode?

I have supercharged JDM F20 running nearly 11psi on track and over 16psi on street. I'm flex tuned on 91 Octane but rarely end up with straight 91 in the tank. At 175k miles and boosted since 153k. Timing is pulled pretty hard when running straight 91 at 16psi.

I highly recommend a good stand alone with fuel pressure sensor. Well worth it to protect these expensive engines. Due to fuel starve issues I had on track, I 100% would've blown my engine without this.

Yeah, for sure I will put a high volume injectors and fuel pump.
