If I wanted to get an updated AP2 transmission over here in Europe what years do I need to be looking for? I'm guessing since they offered the F20 in them so long over here they stayed with the original AP1 gears? What about the rest of the internals in the transmission, are they updated like their US counterparts?

I've had two early AP1 transmissions that had bearing failures in 4 years. The last one here failed massively in the gearbox itself, the bearings in the tailshaft did not look as bad as they should for it to have been making the horrible noise it was. I want to get the best possible transmission to avoid this issue again.

 

i hope that late years got same upgrades as USDM cars.
IIRC there was list of updates from Honda UK and improved transimission was on the list...
