I have had issues in the past with the car in vtec, I was instructed to try the "map whack" method and my issues went away but recently ive had another problem when the car is in vtec. The car runs perfectly up to about 6k and then its downhill. when i floor the car and try to do a pull the car gets louder, it acts like its trying to go faster but it cant... it gets to a point where it sounds like its going to explode, the rpms stop climbing and it sounds like a machine gun... I tried taking the car up to 8k without flooring it or anything and it ran perfectly. This is not the same problem I had with the car in vtec before and thats the only reason it worries me... any ideas? please chime in.

no cel. 71k. oil changed whenever necessary since ive owned it. wtf!?

 

the car has also had an issue when i let it idle alon in first gear or when i let the rpms get to low it acts like it wants to die. Do you think that all of this could be tied into a spark plug issue? should i put new ones in and see what happens?

 

yes try the spark plugs and also did you put gas in it and it started acting up cuz that happened to me after geting some bad gas from shell

 

^^its been ****ing up for almost a month now so it has nothing to do with gas. Im mindfocked.

 

Try new properly gapped spark plugs and clean the IAC valve. Also check VTEC solenoid and clean its screen. HTH
