Default Immobiliser Issue?

Hey folks,

Drove my 2000 AP1 last night and parked up as normal, tried to start the car as normal this morning and... nothing!!

Alarm /Key fob worked, key in ignition and the green key symbol just keeps flashing at me - I can hear the pump prime, car turns over, but will not start!!!
I've tried my spare keys with the same result - So far, I've checked all my fuses and relays and nothing 'appears' to be blown etc. It's a fairly new battery in the car (2 months old)

Now I'm in panic mode as I need the car to get to work and have no other transport.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ work arounds - any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

No one?

I appreciate that there is a security issue with posting this kind of information on a public forum, so if anyone can help, please inbox me. I'm at wits end

Wish I could help, I feel your pain. That green key symbol should just flash a couple seconds and then go out, if it keep flashing, you may be able to find the solution here. Good luck

immobilizer. you might need to tow the car to dealer to have them reprogram it. you can try disconnecting the battery for maybe 10 minutes see if that works but i doubt it.

Edit: see that it turns over. My suggestion isn't applicable.

Thanks folks - I've read through Servozooms links here and eveything points to the immo loosing it's key code memory.

I've got Gerry from PerformanceTek coming out tonight to check the key coding (Hopefully!) Fingers crossed that nothing is permanently broken!

OK... it would seem that the ECU, halo, keys etc are fine... but the H&P Alarm system is goosed and immobilising the car

guess I'm removing it then!

That was my initial suggestion before I edited. Mine had the same symptoms but wouldn't turn over. Took it out and all good.

just popped the H&P box open and it looks like there may be a few dry solder points - will re solder first to see if it works...

Ok.. Perhaps not so it looks like full removal.

Arsenal - can you confirm buddy. The crappy alarm is under the seat, along with another controller under the dash?

There's scotch locks and insulating tape everywhere - whoever fitted it had a field day I think.
