Thumbs up Immobilizer question

I want to get a dyno of stock ECU and chipped ECU.

Can I borrow a friend's ECU and his key to run the baseline on my car or is there more to it?

His key won't turn in your ignition switch.

Cut an cheap unchipped key to suit your lock barrel and use your mates key held against the unchipped one when starting the car.

I have a $100 JDM Honda S2000 Key here that won't take the programming properly. It's cut, bu when I put it in my ignition and hold my functional key against it, against the ignition cylinder, etc I can't get the damn thing to work. Really sucks.

JDM keys have no immobilizer chip in them.

Get the hell out of here, are you serious???

I am going to beat the junk out of the fella who sold it to me! Or make him buy me an AEM EMS so I don't need the immobilizer.

**
Could someone please PM me the location where I can place a working key to have the chip properly communicate with the ECU? I'd like to start-up the car with the JDM key at least once since the JDM key has already been cut.

It's common knowledge that JDM S2000's do not have an immobilizer. The topic has been covered on S2ki several times.

Searching for "JDM key" pulled these old posts:
