Default Impossible to remove hose/tubes

I just received my kn fipk intake system, I go and attempt to install the intake. Everything was going smoothly until it came to taking the original tubing/hose off of the car, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to remove any of the tubing, be it from the air injection pump hose, crank case vent hose, or any other sort of hose or tube. Yes, I removed the metal claps, and pulled as hard as I could from all different angles.

It feels like someone super glued them together, does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Instructions for install... I'm thinking the tubes should be a breeze to take off, but they are impossible.

You need to try to pull and twist back and forth to get them free the first time. They can be a pain. If you have a pair of vice grips, you can squeeze the larger hoses and use the pliers to gain leverage in twisting the hose.

Yeah that was definitely a pain. I took a really thin flat head and just stuck it in and pulled it off. Good luck with the install though. Once you put it in the sound is definitely nice. I've gotten nothing but compliments from mine.

When you pull on them, they become tighter. and harder to remove.

Now, if you PUSH them off (they make special pliers for this) the hose will expand a little and come off instantly.

Hose "pusher" pliers:

The black half has sharp edges and grabs the metal tube part.
The silver half pushes on the end of the hose, expanding it, and pushing it off.

You don't even need to squeeze hard, even on the most corroded hoses.

They are tapered, and work with vac hoses all the way up to heater core hoses.

Very cheap, worth 100X what they cost in avoided aggrevation.

I never had any problems when using silicon spray. Just need to pry a portion of the hose off to stick the plastic tube and spray. Let it sit for few minutes and pull it off.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. Finally got it all done after 2 1/2 hours. The sound was worth it.

This was definitely different than installing the intake on my GSR. Haha

I use this pick set to get in between the hoses. Then push n twist.

Like stated before, dont pull.

Heres the hose separator Billman was talking about.

I chose the pick set cause its 4 in the set and lets u get into tight places but for the price pick up both. Will save your knuckles a few times.
