Default Indexing axel orientation in differential removal

In the thread I read regarding removal/re-install of differential, it states that you should mark the orientation of the bolt pattern where the output shaft connects to the axles and were the differential attaches to the drive shaft.

What do you do if you buy a differential from the vender (I swapped mine with one from Hardtop Guy)? Is there a reason why you can't just reconnect everything? How does the bolt pattern orientation effect with respect to how the differential functions?

Thanks,
Perry

THanks,

I really appreciate your responses to my posts and PM's. I wouldn't have been able to tackle this install without your help.

Thanks again,
Perry
