Default Individual Throttle bodies

I was looking into getting Toda racing ITBs. They say it adds throttle response and takes away a sort of lag that builds up in the intake manifold. These ITBs dont have any filters so my questions is, how much damage or what are the bad things that can happen when using ITBs.

Thanks

Anything the ITB's suck in will go into the cylinders. Dirt, sand, twigs, birds, Etc. Expect rapid piston ring wear if you run them without a filter.

I was looking at some tie-on filters which claim they keeps most things out. With a filter installed would you recomend them over an intake, which adds more power? I do know the ITBs add response.

I've seen one or two ITB setups on S2ki that have created an intake box around them. Even though it seems like it would take away from the entire "ITB" look they still claim that they get colder charge temperatures and is much safer due to the regular K&N filter.

I have heard that the small tie on filters on the end of the ITB's are not very effiecient at all.

You can't compare ITB's to an intake. I mean you are looking at a 2000 difference between them. So obviously you will gain more power out of ITB's than an intake.

All this said, there are a couple people with ITB's that are running great and hard but have also invested quite a bit of money.

I didn't miss anything, he's asking about the TODA ITB's which don't show any air filters.
