Info - easy way to crank engine for compression testing, etc.
I just ran across some photos I took a long time ago showing my 'rig-job' method of cranking the engine when doing a compression test. So I posted them on my web site today. Two years late is better than never.
The short version:
You connect a normally-open push button to a length of zip cord and connect the other end to
a) Option Connector D, and
b) the right side of fuse socket #21.
This of course means you have to pull fuse 21, but that's the best part - not only does it give you an easy way to connect to the solenoid, but it disconnects the rest of the electrical system so the ignition and fuel pump don't run when you crank the engine.
