Default Initial thoughts for first time S2000 owner after clutch

I just replaced the clutch with a Stage 4 clutch. I just replaced the entire clutch with with new bearings. I took it out for a spin, but made sure everything was solid and tightened down. I took off and seem to get some kind of rattle, so is this because of a new clutch (stage 4 at that) or do I need to take another look?

Sounds like the infamous clutch-buzz. Does it occur on deceleration?

Do a search, but you pretty much have to live with it. Unless you want to spend the money and purchase a new quality clutch.

Its a brand new clutch with new throw out, pilot, and pressure plate. Its made by Competition Clutch, and no doesn't make that sound. I'll try recording it

It could be clutch chatter which is different than the buzz. Saw it often on cars with a lightened fly wheel or 6-puck clutch.

After a drive, it went away. Jeeze, the stage 4 is so sensitive! I mean clutch effort is perfect but jeeze, I can not take off smooth for the life of me haha reverse is very hard. I stalled it the first time. But one down one to go, next is the annoyingly over-loud exhaust that will be replaced with stock and cheap "cold air" intake for stock as well.

You'll get all kinds of new rattles.

I would never recommend that clutch, driveability is horrible, so is clutch life. If you are not careful, and dont have good shift timing, that clutch will be shot in 1000 miles.

^^ +1. I don't know why anyone would go with a 6-puck clutch for a daily driver. All that extra drivetrain shock will kill your tranny in no time. There are tons of full-faced clutches from other manufacturers that can handle more torque.

Hopefully that clutch noise won't come back. But there are tons of people who've had issues with Competition Clutches. You get what you pay for...

Wanna hear something crazy? I had a cc stage 4 in my 08 turbo si and it was really easy to use, no problems dd the car, used it for 10k miles, put car back to stock and the clutch still looked just about new. My friend had a cc stage 4 in his s2k, the disk looked the same as mine, but the pressure plate was obviously different since the s2k is a pull type. Anyway, that clutch was murder in that car. I hated it
