Default Injector failures

Hi all,

has anyone had injector problems on their s2k?

As right now I am having a hard time convincing Honda Benelux that my injectors are faulty, because in 2 yrs time the injector on cyl. 4 has failed 3 times. In each instance a little tap on the injector solved the problem, but according to Honda Benelux this car is the only one in Belgium/Netherlands/Luxemburg that has this problem and therefore they don't want to replace the injector.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

BTW. If the injector is faulty, should all 4 be replaced or just this one?

IMO, if you replace injectors, replace them all at the same time.

When you say a 'tap' fixed the past problems, Im assuming that they physically tapped the injector to free something? Doesnt sound like much of a 'fix' if that's the case.

As far as Honda telling you that they wont replace it because yours is the only one with this problem =

What mods do you have?

So they won't fix it because nobody else has had the problem? That's ridiculous. It may not be a common problem, but that doesn't mean it can never happen.

They would just replace the faulty one and not all injectors. To make sure it is indeed injector problem all you have to do is check the resistancy of the injector. If it is out of spec it's time for new one. But, if it isn't, you might be in need of injector cleaner.

I just moved the one from the cylinder that wasn't firing to another one and waited to see if that cylinder stopped firing after I found that the problem moved after I moved the injector i just got a new one.

The car has done 65'000 Km, and cleaner is added to the fuel every 30'000 Km so the car has just had a cleaner-service.
As well as the garage just did a cleaning job with some special mixture last week and 3 days later the injector was stuck again.

As for the tapping on the injector, if I take a hamer and a steelrod wrapped in a cloth and then gently tap against the injector part that is sticking out of the manifold the injector works again.

Will the resistancy of the injector change if it's stuck?

Honda Benelux have decided to replace the injector on cyl. 4 So I am very happy with that, although I am wondering if only changing 1 injector of 4 will have any effect on the engine after 65'000 Km, any ideas anyone?
